You read that right – The Feminist Fringe has an official partner this year! We couldn’t be more delighted to welcome the Young Women’s Movement into the Feminist Fringe fold.
The Young Women’s Movement run a number of programmes for young women in Scotland to develop their skills for the workplace and activism. They recognised the important space The Feminist Fringe provides for both the shows we review and the team of reviewers who are given the space to publish their work, build their networks and hone their analytical writing skills. It’s a match made in heaven, really!
This isn’t the Young Women’s Movement’s first foray into the Edinburgh Fringe, either – several years ago they ran a programme called Feminist Fest which championed young women to engage with the festival and explore their own creative outlets through writing workshops.
Our partnership with the Young Women’s Movement has allowed us to expand our team of reviewers this year and we’re very much looking forward to expanding further, learning and growing with their support this year and in the future.
You can learn more about the work the Young Women’s Movement do on their website, or follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
